Terms of service
Last updated: September 10, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of primitivelabswaterfilter.com and any purchases made from Primitive Labs Water Filter.
Throughout these Terms, “Primitive Labs,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Primitive Labs Water Filter.
By accessing our Site, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.
1. Online Store Terms
By using this Site, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.
You may not use our products or services for unlawful purposes.
You may not use the Site to:
- violate applicable laws;
- infringe intellectual property rights;
- submit false or misleading information;
- distribute malware;
- interfere with Site security;
- attempt unauthorized access;
- conduct fraudulent transactions;
- abuse refund or chargeback procedures; or
- otherwise interfere with our business or other users.
2. Products and Availability
We make reasonable efforts to display our products accurately.
However:
- product appearance may vary slightly from photographs;
- packaging may change;
- specifications may be updated;
- availability may change without notice; and
- we may limit quantities or discontinue products at any time.
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- a product is unavailable;
- pricing is clearly incorrect;
- fraud is suspected;
- payment cannot be verified;
- an order violates these Terms; or
- there is an obvious website or technical error.
If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled order.
3. Prices
Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the Site.
Prices may change at any time without prior notice.
Any price change will not affect an order already accepted unless there was an obvious pricing or technical error.
Applicable shipping costs, taxes, duties, or other charges will be displayed where appropriate.
4. Payment
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment and billing information.
By submitting a payment method, you represent that you are authorized to use it.
We may use payment processors, fraud-detection providers, and other third parties to verify transactions.
We reserve the right to refuse, hold, or cancel an order where:
- payment fails;
- payment information cannot be verified;
- fraud is suspected;
- the transaction is flagged as unusually risky; or
- additional verification is reasonably required.
5. Order Acceptance
Submitting an order does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
An order is generally accepted when:
- payment is authorized;
- the order enters fulfillment; or
- we send an order or shipping confirmation.
We reserve the right to contact you for additional information before accepting or fulfilling an order.
6. Order Processing
Orders are generally processed within the timeframe described in our Shipping Policy.
Processing times may be longer during:
- holidays;
- high order volumes;
- promotional periods;
- inventory delays;
- severe weather;
- technical disruptions; or
- other exceptional circumstances.
7. Shipping and Delivery
Our Shipping Policy forms part of these Terms.
Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 4–7 business days after dispatch, unless otherwise stated.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated otherwise.
Once a shipment enters the carrier network, certain aspects of delivery are outside our direct control.
These may include:
- carrier routing;
- customs delays;
- postal delays;
- weather;
- transportation interruptions;
- local delivery conditions;
- carrier capacity; and
- last-mile handling.
A shipment is not automatically considered lost or refundable merely because it exceeds the estimated delivery timeframe.
8. Tracking
Where available, tracking information will be provided after dispatch.
You are responsible for monitoring available tracking information.
Tracking may involve more than one carrier.
For example, a shipment may be transported internationally under one tracking number and transferred to a domestic carrier for final delivery under another tracking number.
Tracking information provided by:
- the original carrier;
- a logistics partner;
- a last-mile carrier; or
- a postal service
may all form part of the shipment record.
9. Delivery Confirmation
An order may be considered successfully delivered where the carrier records the shipment as delivered to the destination associated with the order.
Relevant delivery evidence may include:
- delivery scans;
- carrier records;
- delivery date and time;
- destination ZIP or postal code;
- delivery photographs;
- signature confirmation;
- recipient information;
- GPS delivery information; or
- other proof-of-delivery records.
Where multiple carriers are involved, final-mile carrier records may be relied upon as evidence of successful delivery.
10. Shipping Address
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
We are not responsible for delay, failed delivery, misdelivery, or return caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you.
If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible.
We cannot guarantee address changes once fulfillment or shipping has begun.
11. Returns and Refunds
Our Return & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
Eligible unused products may be returned within the applicable return period stated in that policy.
Unless otherwise required by law, return shipping costs are generally the customer’s responsibility where the return is not caused by:
- a defective product;
- an incorrect item; or
- an error by us.
Products must comply with the conditions in our Return & Refund Policy.
12. Water Filtration Product Hygiene
Because our products may come into contact with drinking water, certain used products may not be eligible for ordinary change-of-mind returns.
Products that have been:
- used;
- contaminated;
- altered;
- improperly cleaned;
- improperly stored; or
- returned in an unsanitary condition
may be refused where permitted by applicable law.
This does not affect mandatory rights relating to genuinely defective products.
13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We encourage customers to contact us before filing a chargeback so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.
If you initiate a payment dispute or chargeback, you agree that we may provide relevant evidence to payment processors, card networks, banks, and other parties involved in resolving the dispute.
Such evidence may include:
- order details;
- customer communications;
- shipment information;
- tracking records;
- delivery confirmation;
- IP information;
- transaction details;
- return records; and
- other evidence relevant to the transaction.
A chargeback does not automatically cancel your obligations under a completed sale.
14. Delivered Merchandise and Payment Reversals
You may not retain both:
- delivered merchandise; and
- a refund or payment reversal covering that same merchandise,
except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed by us.
If merchandise is successfully delivered and the transaction is later reversed through a chargeback, bank dispute, duplicate refund, or similar payment reversal, we may require you to:
- repay the amount reversed; or
- return the merchandise.
Where permitted by law, return shipping costs may be your responsibility.
We reserve all rights available to us to recover unpaid amounts, merchandise, or associated losses where appropriate.
15. Fraudulent or Abusive Activity
You must not engage in fraudulent or abusive activity involving our Site or payment systems.
Examples may include:
- knowingly providing false information;
- falsely claiming non-delivery;
- disputing a transaction after receiving and retaining the goods;
- submitting fabricated evidence;
- using unauthorized payment methods;
- abusing promotional offers;
- returning substituted merchandise; or
- repeatedly abusing refund procedures.
Where we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, we may:
- refuse service;
- cancel orders;
- restrict account access;
- preserve transaction evidence;
- challenge payment disputes;
- report activity to relevant service providers; or
- take other lawful action.
16. Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions are accurate.
However, product information may occasionally contain:
- typographical errors;
- incomplete information;
- technical inaccuracies; or
- outdated information.
We reserve the right to correct such information at any time.
17. Product Use
You are responsible for reading and following all instructions supplied with the product.
Water conditions vary significantly.
No portable filtration device should be used in a manner inconsistent with its specifications or instructions.
You should not assume a product removes contaminants that are not specifically identified as being within its tested or stated filtration capability.
You are responsible for evaluating whether the product is suitable for your intended use.
18. Health and Safety Disclaimer
Primitive Labs products are intended for water filtration in accordance with their stated specifications and instructions.

- misuse;

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that the Site will always be:
- uninterrupted;
- error-free;

- available at all times.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
26. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Primitive Labs Water Filter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or products.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, or other liability that applicable law requires to remain unrestricted.
27. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Primitive Labs Water Filter harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
- your unlawful use of the Site;
- your breach of these Terms;
- your infringement of third-party rights; or
- misuse of our products.
28. Severability

These Terms, together with our:
- Privacy Policy;
- Shipping Policy;

- any product-specific warranty terms
constitute the agreement governing use of our Site and purchases from us.
31. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
